The thing that I like

I like playing softball. For me it's not just a game. It needs dicipline, commitment, and full attention towards the game. Eventhough it has many complicated rules but it's still fun because it's not about how good you can play but how good you can work with your teammates. Sometimes, softball can be a rough game. I could get hurt if I don't pay attention all the time, I could get hit by the ball or sprain an ankle, but then I can learn from those mistakes how to dodge a ball or even better, I can handle it. Playing softball is about making friends, commitment, keep my body healthy, even release my emotions/feeling, that's why I really like softball.

Why did I choose ITB?

I chose ITB as a place to study because I didn't have a choice. I had to make a sudden decision when I got accepted at ITB, and if I didn't choose between ITB or join SPMB I won't have any university or college to go to. My parents also asked me to reconsider my plan to take SPMB because they know my chance to pass SPMB is so small against so many students around Indonesia. After I considered and re-considered, I decided to go to ITB instead of taking SPMB.

The Reasons

There are several reasons why I choose ITB as a place to continue my study. Firstly, from what I read and heard, ITB is the best engineering institute in Indonesia and it has been my dream to be the best engineer. The second reason was I want my parents to be proud at me because I would continue my study at the best engineering institute in Indonesia. The last reason is the prosperity I'll get when I had finished my study in ITB. It has been proved that the alumnus of Institut Teknologi Bandung has more work opportunity than the alumnus of other university. For example, my friend who was studying in ITB right now has been offered for a job in the well-known oil factory even though he hasn't been graduated yet.

My Personal Reason for Choosing ITB

I realize that most of the people in Indonesia think that ITB is the best university in Indonesia. That fact made my parents urge me to choose ITB as the place to continue my study. But that same fact also leads to many advantages for me as an ITB student.
The first advantage is useful when I need a job. The status as an ITB graduate might impress some companies. They might assume that any ITB graduate will have the qualification they needed. So it is easier for me to have a more lucrative job.
The second advantage is the implication of the first one. Every parent wants the best guy to marry their daughter. What is best? The definition may vary, but one thing is for sure: job and earnings does matter. As I wrote earlier, an ITB graduate has a better chance to have the better job and better earnings. So you can conclude that an ITB graduate also has a better place in the parents’ mindset. A love life shouldn’t be a problem for an ITB graduate.
There are a lot more advantages for a future ITB graduate like me that I can’t get anywhere else. These advantages are the very reason why I choose ITB in the first place.

Choosing ITB

There are several things why I choose ITB as my place of study. First, I am really interested in studying engineering. It has been my dream since I was a child. I want to build sky crapper building, like Petronas Tower in Malaysia. So that, Indonesia can have new icon in building construction to equal that magnificent building. For the second, ITB as an institute of technology can accommodate my desire to study engineering because ITB provides many courses of study in engineering. The next reason, my parents encouraged me to make final decision to study civil engineering in ITB. The last but not least, a lot of ITB's alumni can get job better and faster than others university's alumni because of its reputation. For example, my cousin who also studied civil engineering in ITB had been offered job from several companies even he hadn't finished his thesis. All of those reasons and facts give me more motivation to step my feet in this institute.

ITB was never been my dream. I admit that ITB is good academically, but other than that, ITB is just ordinary. I don't like its campus because it's not clean enough, especially its toilet. i don't like the 'KM' because it's too much and because I think they're letting in some 'special doctrine', so they are not pure anymore. I don't like the city where its located, Bandung, because for me, it is not metropolitan enough. I don't like the social life because the students come from different corners of Indonesia,but we are not united as one, one ITB. I don't even like the canteen because it is rather expensive and it made me have to suffer from digestion problem. Even though ITB was not my dream, I am already here. So, my aim now is to get out as fast as I could.

I also became more obsessed to study in this institute after I had seen some of ITB’s alumnus success . For example, I had a cousin who was just graduated from ITB and got her first salary for almost thirty millions rupiahs. She’s always been my inspiration since then. I chose ITB as my place to study for three good reasons. My first reason is ITB’s good reputation in Indonesia. ITB is known as the best institute of technology in Indonesia. ITB? Why not?

Many reasons supported me to choose ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) as my college, but then I can classified it into four main reasons. First reason is because ITB was being my dream since I was in Junior High School, I had strengthen my will to study in ITB since I was 13 years old. Second reason is financial risk-free, my dilemma is choosing ITB and NTU (Nanyang Technological University), by choosing ITB there will be less money needed due to the fees and reduced daily cost. I always admire ITB. The reason why I always admire ITB is because of its superiority. According to my opinion, ITB is the best university in Indonesia. This prestigious university often wins many prestigious competitions in many subjects, such as art, science, and English debate competition. Besides often winning many prestigious competitions, ITB sometimes conducts a kind of precious competition, for example this year ITB held an English debate competition called AUDC ( Asian University Debate Competition ), an English debate competition that is joined by countries in Asia. I have some reasons why I choose ITB as my path to get the future. First it is related to the great name of ITB itself, ITB has worldwide achievements in engineering and science which really attract me to involve in ITB society for the next four years. Other reason why I go to this campus is because of pride, when I meet someone in Bandung who ask me about where I go for study, I will answer "ITB" with a big smile, and they always said "Wow, that's amazing!", it always makes me truly proud. In my high school, many teachers suport their students to enter state universities. They told me that ITB is one of the best state university in Indonesia because of its academic quality. They also said that if I want to be an excellent engineer so I have to study in ITB because it is the best technical college in Indonesia. I Love ITB

I choose ITB as place for me to continue my bachelor degree because I love ITB. I've fallen in love with ITB since the first time I set my feet on ITB about 1 year ago. I suddenly wanted to be

ITB is only one of many universities in Indonesia. Universities in Indonesia is also only a small part of the whole universities in the world. So why I choose ITB to be my chosen university? I have two reasons to answer it. First, ITB make me proud. ITB is one of the best universities in the world (it is placed at rank 1046 in the top 2000 universities in the world, and at rank 2 in Indonesia, www.webometrics.info/index.html). After collecting a lot of information, I found out that ITB is the university that provide best engineering education in Indonesia. It is proven as ITB has won so many competition in engineering. Number one indonesia, it's main reason why I choose ITB as a place I study. Based on a survey, ITB gets average score about 812.It's the highest score among all universities in Indonesia. The lowest score in ITB is about 676. That's higher than average score in UGM which in fifth rank. That shows that we're the best in Indonesia. However, being number one in Indonesia is not enough yet. We must develop to compete in Internasional area, like being the best in ASEAN or ASIA moreover in the world

I love “The Lord of The Rings”. I think it’s the best movie I’ve ever seen. The story is about a magic ring set in mythic pre-historic times. It told us about a hero named Frodo, who was trying to destroy the evil ring. With the help from his friends, he managed to get through many battles. There are some reasons why I choose ITB as a place to study. The first reason why I choose ITB is because it is the oldest university in Indonesia. I have some reasons choosing ITB as my next school. First, I want to be an engineer since I was third year of senior high. That desire makes me think that I should go to ITB-an institute of technology-in order to learn more specific than any other university. Second, I want to try living apart from my parents. Study at different place from parents, I expect to make myself more mature, wise, and able to manage my own life. Third, I was recommended by close people around me to go to ITB. My parents want me to go to the one of reputable college in Indonesia, and they support me to choose ITB since they know my ambition. Support also comes from my close friends. ITB as my choice

I chose ITB as a place to study for several reasons. First, it is located in Bandung. I've always wanted to live outside Jakarta, far away from my parents. Not because I hate them, it is because want to know how it feels like and I want to be independent. Second, I want to make my parents proud. None of my family accepted in local university, so I want to make them proud by choosing ITB (one of the best local university) as a place to study. Third, ITB has been known as the best institute in Indonesia, and the graduates can get job easily. The last reason is, ITB has the major that I want to enter, “Environmental engineering”. One of The Reasons Why I Chose ITB

One of the reasons I chose ITB as a place to study is its activity units. So we don't only learn about academic, but also learn about the other things. Those are the way to socialize with other people, culture learning, and the way to develop my hobby. There are about 76 activity units at ITB including the units for learning culture and the units for hobby. The units for learning culture such as the unit for Sundanese culture (Lingkung Seni Sunda), the unit for North Sumatra culture (Unit Kebudayaan Sumatra Utara), and the unit for Java culture (Ludruk). The units for hobby such as Liga Film Mahasiswa for students who have hobby about photography and making movie, Persatuan Sepakbola for students who love playing football, and Apres for students who love music. In my opinion, the unit activity is important, because there is other important thing to do besides study, that is socializing with the other people. When I do unit activity, I can know how is the way to socialize well which is important when I get in public society, not only know how to socialize, but also I can develop my interest and my hobby.

My Choice, Community of ITB

I have some simple dreams : working in Indonesia, working for developing Indonesia and employing unemployed Indonesian. Then I was looking for a community which has a same desire to develop and rebuild our country, Indonesia. I was also looking for an advanced academic community which can provide science, technology and art which are needed by the society and industry; a creative entrepreneurial community which is formed by information and communication technology; a community which always evolve their member's capability, intellectuality and leadership; a community which consists of persons who are calling out the right and preventing from badness (amar makruf nahi mungkar) to each other. Now I find that community - not at other universities/ institutes - not at other country - but only at the best institute of technology in Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Community of ITB, a community which I will never find at other places. That is the reason why I chose Bandung Institute of Technology to continue my study and the answer of my passion to realize the better Indonesia.

I chose ITB as my university for some reasons. First, ITB is one of the best universities in Indonesia, especially for engineering, and it is the most important reason. Why I chose ITB as a place to continue my study

Education after high school, to me, is one of the most important times of my life, because it will determine my future. So, I had to be very careful on deciding where I would want to continue my study at. In the end, I chose ITB (Institute of Technology Bandung). I chose ITB, first of all because ITB is a state university. State universities demand less money than those which are privates, in other words, relatively cheaper. This way my family can save more money. Other than that, most importantly, ITB is recognized to have great quality of educating. ITB is well known for its majors of engineering, which I am interested in studying, and learning things that I fascinate for will motivate me to aim for higher goals. From this, I know that I will be more serious in my study if I move on to ITB. My last reason is because ITB is not too far from my hometown, city of Jakarta. Bandung is only two hours driving from where I live, so I could be home during weekends and go back to Bandung by the night before day of class. Now, I can be serious in my study yet not being homesick, even though it does occur sometimes. Considering all these facts, I know that ITB is the perfect place for me to continue my study.

I have heard from many people that ITB is one the best university in this country. They said that ITB is the best institute if you want to be an engineer. I have also heard that many of its graduates didn’t get troubled to get a job, and the salary was high enough for a fresh graduate. The second one, the campus is located in Bandung, which is not very far from my hometown, Jakarta. So, if there are some urgent things that I have to do in Jakarta, I can easily get there in two or three hours by car. The last one, the campus is not so big. I can just walk from a place to another without getting extremely tired. So, I can save more energy to do other activities.

I decided to choose ITB as my place to study because of some reasons. Firstly, I want to be an engineer. My friends told me that ITB is the best place to make my dream comes true. The second reason is its faculty of environment, I am really interested with that faculty and be dared to try it. Third, its facilities have attracted me since I had study-tour with my high school class on last year. Its library, com labs, and laboratories of technical make me wonder. I can't wait to learn many weird and incredible electronic stuffs there. Fourth, some people say that it is easier for graduate of ITB to get a job, and I hope I will be the one of them. ITB is a right place for study,especially for engineers. As my dream is to become an engineer,I chose ITB as the place I took my higher education. ITB has all of laboratory that engineers need. It has the largest conversion lab in Indonesia. It also has the only one electronic software which worth Rp 1,5 T in its PAU building. ITB also provide the facilities for engineers who wants to conduct a research,as it has a lot of research centres. The other reason I choose ITB is due to its academic competition. The input students of ITB is the best compared to other well-known university. From the result of SPMB,ITB is in the highest rank for average score. Not only the input,the output is also outrageous,many of its graduates are directly accepted in big companies. Besides the students,the lecturers in ITB are also high class. They are well-selected,most of them are already in the master degree or even doctor. The situation and condition inside the campus is also at my concern. The situation in the campus is suitable for studying,not only study on academic,but also study or learn how to organize and working in the real life within its organization. I choose ITB of course because it is a good university which has a good quality of education. There are three facts showing that ITB is a good university. First, ITB is one of best universities in Indonesia, even in the world. ITB is in 258th place from best 520 university among the world based on data in earief.wordpress.com. It shows that ITB has beaten other 262 best universities. Second, ITB also has qualified lectures. In 2006, ITB had 53 bachelors, 354 masters, and63 doctors for lectures based on data in www.itb.ac.id. Third, ITB has been winning many competition; national and international. For example, ITB's students have won in Indonesia Intellegent Robot Competition for many times. I think, these three facts about ITB are enough showing that ITB is a good university and are also give me enough reasons to join in.

I Love Motorcycle

I love motorcycle. Riding it gives me a feel of freedom. I am so excited when I can avoid a hihg traffic with my motorcycle. I can ride this two-wheeled vehicle in a very long time. I even have rid it a time for two hours without any destination to reach. I just love to ride it. I also love modifying a motorcycle. With adding some spare parts, I can make my motorcycle looks special. I love every kind of motorcycle and I would love to try all kinds of it.

WHY ITB??

I have some reasons why I decided to continue my study at ITB. I choose ITB because there is environmental technology as one of study programmes. I know that other universities like UI, UNDIP, and ITS also have that study programme but I still choose ITB because it is more comfortable than the others. It is located in Bandung which has cool air. Besides that, ITB is not too far from my house in Bekasi. Other university like UI is also not too far from my house but environmental technology in there is just opened. So, I think environmental technology in ITB is better than there. The other reason is my parents also support me to study in ITB. That’s why I chose ITB as a place to study.
