Glass Making

There are several steps in making glass. First of all, sand, soda, and limestone must be mixed and burnt in a furnace. Then, the melted form of the mixture can be made into two kinds of glass, that is, plate glass and bottle glass, which depend on the process. Plate glass can be produced if the melted mixture is flatten by rollers machine, while bottle glass is formed by a removable mould. In moulding the bottle glass, the melted mixture must be put into the neck of removable mould. Then, some air is blown into the mould to expand the melted mixture to the area inside it. Both plate glass and bottle glass have the same final process. The formed melted mixture is cooled to get a solid glass.
