The Process of Making Glass

Although making glass requires sophisticated tools, the process is actually simple. One of the process is using soda, limestone and sand as the basic materials. The materials must first be reduced to powder. Then they are mixed and put into furnace. After heated for 5 or 6 hours in high temperature, we have the materials is perfectly melted. The melted materials is called molten glass. The molten glass is put into some kind of machine to make a plate glass. The machine has some rollers to flatten the molten glass. To make a bottle glass. the molten glass is put into a removable mould and blown with air. After the glass is cooled, the mould can be removed and we have a bottle glass.
