Rock Music From Time to Time

Rock music has been changed many times and formed new kind of music from time to time. The first rock music appeared in the 1950s and was played by Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Bo Didley, and so on, and it was called rockabilly or rock 'n roll. In the 1960s, rock was blended with folk to create folk rock which was and still played by Bob Dylan, jazz to create jazz-fusion rock, blues to create blues rock and there was also psychedelic rock which was played by Jimi Hendrix. In the 1970s, rock music has made many more kinds of genres like soft rock, hard rock, progressive rock, punk rock, heavy metal, new wave and many more. In the 1980s, the rock music has more diversities and the difference of the genres became more obvious. In the 1990s, there were so many hybrid genres that appeared like pop punk, post grunge, rapcore or nu metal, and so on. Nowadays, rock music genres has more varieties, some has evolved into new kind of music, some still plays conventionally and stick to the old things. In the future, we don't know what will become of rock music, will it still exist and become more complex or will it disappear and swallowed by the earth.

Rock is always a reflection of protest and love at the same time, it will never die.
